Placenta Encapsulation

starting at $275

The process begins with a complimentary 30 minute consultation either in your home or over the phone.

Your placenta is processed in the comfort of your home, with extensive knowledge of bloodborne pathogens and food safety and handling per additional training taken by our team.

Placenta Encapsulation Services include:

  • Placenta Processing

  • Customized Support Plan

  • Cord Keepsake (as cord permits)

  • Postpartum Follow-up

  • Doula Support in your home while your placenta is being prepared and processed

  • Weekly check-ins to assess mental health, support, and postpartum transitions

Your placenta is picked up shortly after birth, so we can begin the process of encapsulation as soon as possible for you to gain the full benefits of the process. After careful inspection and trimming, your placenta is processed by our qualified and knowledgeable placenta specialists.

Upon delivery of your capsules, we take great care to sit and talk with you about your birth, helping to process the events of your labour and your immediate postpartum transition.

Then, we check in with you on a weekly basis by text message to assess your mental and emotional state, reaction to the capsules, and to provide consistent postpartum support to you and your family. Typically around 2 weeks postpartum, we suggest an in-home visit with your doula to ensure your needs are being met, assisting with sleep deprivation (ie: providing infant care so you can nap!), and being a constant support to you.

Finally, at approximately 6 weeks postpartum, we have a final check-in with you by phone or text to ensure your transitions have been positive and to assess your continued needs for postpartum support. We also provide full storage instructions at this time for any remaining capsules that you may have, and are sure to answer all of your questions.

Placenta capsules are not manufactured by a licensed pharmacist and are not intended to treat, relive, or prevent any symptoms, diseases or ailments.

Please consult your health care provider prior to choosing placenta encapsulation to ensure that it is a safe choice for you.
