Doula Training at Sweet Stella's is something that we take to heart, and as such we have designed a variety of courses (with more in the queue!) for doulas to continue their education both before and after their formal doula training course. From how to build your business to teaching you about the intricacies of cesarean support, these courses are meant to support, educate and validate you on your doula journey.

Each course comes with mentorship, as well; an element to doula work that Shannon feels strongly about. A mentor is essential to furthering your career and feeling supported in this work. This job can be hard, so having someone to turn to with questions or to simply debrief after a difficult (or awesome) experience is really important, and something that I was missing when I took all of my formal training. Being your mentor is a position I am honoured to hold and one that I take seriously as it helps shape you into a strong leader in your field.

  • Submit 3 case studies for review (mandatory 1 birth, other 2 clients may be doulas choice)
