New Year New Me, Final Week!

I am absolutely OVERJOYED to be on my final week of Insanity as I write out this recap. Today, I finished day57. I've taken to not taking the rest day when it is scheduled, mainly because I want to push and get through all of this.

What happens?

Well 7 days of constant Insanity is about all I can handle. I'm struggling to get through the 59minute routines, and am pretty gassed when I get to about 40minutes I push really hard and limit my breaks. When doing things like ski abs, jack push ups, in/out abs and oblique push ups I do them quickly. It's no wonder that after these routines I'm tired!

But, I continue to push. A few things that have given me motivation this week are seeing these types of quotes and reflecting on how far I have come.

I'm at the point of this journey that hearing excuses, even within myself, is just not acceptable anymore. If I can find time in my busy day to fit in a 32-59 minute workout, then anyone can It might take a while to get into a routine, but you can so completely do it and you will feel amazing about yourself once you do.

When I started Insanity, it was moreso to see if I could do it. I was pretty sure that my husband didn't think I would be able to stick with it, but look at me now! Day57 in the books, building muscle, leaning out, and having others notice the changes. It's really incredible, and I would encourage anyone who is thinking about doing a home fitness program to go for it.

My favourite exercise in month two is the One Two Three Jab. It's a nice break in the Max Interval Circuit when you are pushing your body really hard, and I find it alot of fun!

There's a little skip hop jump move and then a jab on one side. I just love it! And I love that I now have the coordination to do them!

Only a few days left and then I will be able to reveal my before and after, and results!

ItWorks! No seriously...it does!

A few weeks ago, I was contacted by the lovely Carrie, an independent ItWorks representative about boosting my New Year New Me journey with one of her products, the Ultimate Body Applicator.

It couldn't have come at a more perfect time. I was in a big time rut and my motivation was seriously lacking coming off of being sick and being incredibly busy. So I thought, what the heck...let's try it.

Before... a bit of water retention and I was...I was okay with it, but definitely not super duper happy with it.

I took my measurements, which were 31.5" at my natural waist, 35" at my navel and 40" at my hips/lower abdomen.

I put the wrap on, wrapped myself in saran wrap, walked around like a robot for 45mins...drank 72oz of water and my belly got all tingly. It was so neat! I felt it working, which is something that I really hadn't expected.

Then, after 45, I unwrapped the saran wrap and massaged the rest of the lotion onto my abdomen.

And I took my measurements.

30.5" at my natural waist, 34" at my naval and 38" at my hips/lower abdomen. Not to mention that my whole stomach was smoother and my stretchmarks were lighter!

People! That's a total of 4" gone! GONE! The Wrap has the most impact after 72hrs, and by yesterday I had lost a total of 5.5"! Amazing!

It was certainly the kick in the booty that I needed to recharge my batteries and make me determined to finish Insanity.

and now....You can WIN one!!

WAHM Wednesday: Road to 30

I am so excited to share this with you all

Two of my BlogHer roomies, Mel and Shaun, are spurring one another on to lose 30lbs each by the time we all meet up in NYC For BlogHer.

Pretty amazing, and truly inspiring I think!

When they started bouncing ideas off of me about how to accomplish it, what to make their button look like (which Mel designed, and I think is adorable!) and things of the sort, I quickly volunteered them a reward for all of their hard work.

As a mom, I know how hard it is to work in time for yourself. it's no easy feat, especially when you're wanting to shed weight. It can be a very daunting task...so...

For every pound they lose, they get $1 toward something in my shop. I'm really really really confident that they'll be able to get $30 by BlogHer and that I'll be bringing them goodies to the conference, with a great big congratulatory hug as well.

On the last Wednesday of every month, until August, I'll be catching you up on their progress and chatting about their success!

And it doesn't stop there. I'm going to be doing the challenge with them and be their buddy system, offer support and encouragement wherever I can. Since the weather here has turned positively gorgeous, I'll be going out for a long walk or jog 3 times a week with the jogging stroller. No more evenings at the gym or waiting to accommodate everyone else's schedules. No-sir-ree! It's morning walks/jogs from here on out, with the Bear in tow!

Pretty amazing, right? Follow along, and give Mel and Shaun your support as they work towards a healthier-mama!
