As a busy mom to a busy toddler…and a growing business…I find myself stretched incredibly thin. The first thing I do when I get up in the morning, after grabbing my blackberry and checking in with the living, is think coffffeeeee! Often time, I wonder why I don’t have a cup ready beside the bed…so I can relish those precious few moments before the chaos of being a WAHM begins.

Alas…no bedside coffee, however there is Organo Gold Gourmet Coffee that will make waking up every morning all the sweeter!

Choose from the many gourmet blends to suit your taste…Royal Brewed, King of Coffee, or just regular Black Coffee. No matter what your choice, they’re all infused with 100% Organic Ganoderma – a mushroom that is found in ancient Asian medicines over the past one thousand years. It has proven immune boosters, antioxidants, and anticancer properties as well. Really really amazing stuff…packed into your morning cuppa jo!

I think my favourite would have to be the Royal Blend.

Beans from Jamaica Blue Mountain, known for its smooth and rich…sinfully delicious coffee…infused with the Ganoderma. Amazing concept, and even better execution by Organo Gold.

What’s your favourite cuppa jo? Could it use a kick in the pants from the little mushroom that could? Feel even better throughout the day after your morning coffee from Organo Gold!

Nowhere.

The Hubs noticed just how heavy a load I've been carrying on my tiny shoulders lately and booked me a treatment at...

He told me to find something that I wanted to have done. Given that I'm stressed to the absolute max and my personal burden is rather heavy these days, i couldn't think of anything better than this treatment...

Thay Ritual

Inspired by the 5000 year old Ayurvedic philosophy that emphasizes that well-being and beauty are only possible when the four elements are in perfect harmony, the Thay Ritual is a complete treatment for body and mind. This experience to remember begins with a bull body exfoliation followed by an organic herbal mud wrap on our aromatherapy steam table. Next, a 50-minute full body massage with a warm blend of organic oils and hot stones includes Thai stretches for increased flexibility and balancing of body energy, and the combination transcends relaxation as you’ve known it. All treatments include scalp massage, neck and decolleté treatments.

Sounds like Heaven to me!!

And it was!

THAY stands for...THerapy Around You and it really was about the entire experience.

First, I was exfoliated from head to toe, then painted with mud. Seriously...amazing. I was staring up at the ceiling, which was lit with hundreds of fibre optic lights that went from red to peach to purple to green to white, and getting completely lost in the lights. They were in a heart shape, probably 4'x3', and just made me feel all warm and fuzzy. It did get a wee bit chilly after the mud was on, but the next part made up for it.

I was lying on this wooden table (with a comfy pad on it) that had holes in the side. Why? Because it was a steam table! After I was all painted with mud, Trista put these bent wooden slats over top of me and covered me (and wooden slats) with a plastic blanket of sorts, creating a capsule. Then, she turned on the steam and I was encased in this warm...velvety...luxurious steam that seemed to melt my every worry and care away.

While the steam was working its magic, I got a decolette and scalp massage. I really think that's something totally underrated. It relieved so much pressure and stress and my mind felt so clear afterward!

After a shower to get all of the mud off, which was really funny to see going down the drain, I had a fantastic hot stone back massage followed up by a hand massage.

The hand massage wasn't necessarily part of the overall treatment, but I asked if she would do it since i have been sculpting and typing alot lately and know that the tiny little muscles in my hands are incredibly cramped. Was I ever right!! She literally giggled when she started massaging the large muscle in my thumb and gave me some techniques to use at home.

Makes you want to drift away, doesn't it?

I left the spa feeling an overwhelming sense of relief. I was smiling, but also crying and feeling so incredibly thankful to my Husband for recognizing my need for a break.

What have you done for yourself lately??

Special Post:: Pumpkin Me Pretty

So...I've been pretty stressed out lately between running a busy busy shop, opening a new business with The Cookie Mamas, being a mama to (right now a sick and boggery) busy toddler, being a daughter, wife, moving to a new house, designing the rooms for the new house...

Yeah...stretched a wee bit thin!

I ordered some Green Tea & Honeyquat Facial Scrub (a personal favourite) from Bellaroma about a week and a half ago, and got the package on Monday...with a sample of...

So tonight I drew myself a bubble bath, lit the candles and slathered my face with it.

First and foremost, I'm really not a fan of pumpkin whatsoever. It's gross and slimy and I've never had pumpkin pie...nor do I intend to.

This...oh this...I wish I could put this on a little spoon and carry it around all day, just for the scent. It smells delicious, and goes on so smoothly...so luxuriously...with the candles lit and the deep soaker tub, I definitely felt like I was at the spa!

Then came time to exfoliate it off...it scrubbed off so easily, not like other facial masks that I've used before that you have to use a washcloth to scrub your skin to get it all off. No no...it just...slid right off.

Once my face was dry, I couldn't stop looking in the mirror. My husband had a good laugh when I ran down the hall and said "feel my face!!" My skin have never, ever been softer or smoother!

I cannot thank Diana enough for restoring my ravaged post-partum skin. The hormonal changes have been insanity to say the least, and it is so nice to know that I can get reasonable, good quality and luxurious natural skincare that will restore the natural beauty of my skin!

Marvelous Monday: Bellaroma...revisited

Happy Monday everyone!

One shop that I have been shopping at this holiday season is Bellaroma. Remember my little review a while ago?

Well, it hasn't stopped at just caring for my skin! I recently contacted Diana about my son's eczema. It's not bad, but it's not to be itchy for him and no amount of Aveeno or extra-sensitive-crazy cream has helped.

The only thing that has helped is Diana's own concoction of amazingness that she whipped up, and I've now purchased as a custom order.

But, it hasn't even stopped there! Some lucky lovely ladies in my life will be getting these this holiday season!

Both the Grapeseed&Banana and Crushed Kelp&Chamomile facial scrubs were recently gifted at the GBK Productions 63rd Primetime Emmy Awards Gifting Suite.

Pretty awesome!

Know what else is awesome? Her prices! A facial scrub, which she will recommend which one to get depending on your skin care concerns, for $11 plus shipping. AMAZING! The perfect stocking stuffer for this Christmas!

Special Post: Bellaroma Boutique

I have a secret obsession that I'd like to share with you all...a secret that will make you feel gloriously amazing, confident and wonderful...and smell divine.

About a month ago, I contacted Diana, the owner of Bellaroma {Natural Skincare Boutique} and fellow Artisan Group member about my skincare woes.

Since having my son (1 year ago) my skin has been on a roller coaster ride it seems. One day it's oily, the next it's itchy...then on another day it's totally fine and blemish free...only to be plagued with acne two days later.

Postpartum hormones have absolutely wrecked havoc on my skin, not to mention the wrinkles, lack of moisture, dark circles, bags and everything else that comes with being a first time mom.

So, off to Diana I went with my problem, and boy did she ever solve it! She recommended her lovely Yogurt & E Creamy Cleanser and Pomegranate Whipped Facial Creme.

I have never, ever ever been this happy with my skin...or my skincare products. First and foremost, the Yogurt & E Creamy Cleaner is so light that you barely feel like you're washing your face with more than just water. It feels fresh and squeaky clean afterward, and not dry like most other cleansers that I've tried. It is seriously lovely, and wonderfully divine...and what a great feeling to have nice firm, tight skin!

I follow up my little routine with the Pomegranate Whipped Facial Creme and let me just say one word: YUM! Oh my gosh! From the moment that I opened the jar, I knew that my skin was in for a really amazingly luxurious treat. From talking to Diana, I knew that a little dab was all that I would need, and massaging it into my skin was like...a heavenly experience. Instantly, my skin was tighter and I had to double take in the mirror...but those new-mom-dark-circles were fading right before my eyes!

I woke up feeling refreshed and wonderful...as if my skin care woes had disappeared overnight. Looking in the mirror, I knew that it wasn't a dream, but in fact they had disappeared. My skin is lovely, soft, blemish free and silky smooth. The wrinkles are fading, as are the dark circles and bags from under my eyes {perhaps because the routine of cleansing and moisturizing before bed with Bellaroma put my mind to ease and allowed me to sleep better?}

My wish list for Bellaroma is growing everyday! Knowing that my face feels and looks so amazing now, I can't help but lust after the Hawaiian Brown Sugar Body Polish, the Cucumber Peel Toning Butter {hello Post-Partum body changes!} and the Grapeseed Lavender Bella Bar. OH! And have you seen her brand new product, the Potted Honey Lip Butter? To. Die. For!

And as if it can get any better than feeling confident in your own skin, Diana is positively a dream to work with! She responds to requests right away, and her customer service is amazing. She truly cares about your concerns and worries, and seeks to put them to rest with her wonderful products, encouraging words and warm attitude.

I highly highly recommend that you check out her shop, and contact her if you have any questions about how she can help you look and feel your best! She truly is amazing, and her products are luxuriously wonderful!
