Gifts for Kids on Etsy #etsyfinds #giftguide #handmade #giftsforchildren

One thing that I love doing every fall is looking for fun and unique gifts for my kiddos on Etsy. You can find some of the neatest things on there from handmade sellers who genuinely care about the quality and care put into their items.

One thing that I have had my eye on for my eldest is a set of Dinosaur magnets for the fridge. I love how bright and bold these are, and they definitely make playtime in the kitchen more fun.

For O's little cousin who is about a year younger, I try to always find some cool kind of natural wood toy. I'm not sure why, but I love them whether it is a wooden bowling set like the one above, or a logging truck. The craftsmanship that a woodworker puts into their handmade toys is pretty amazing!

You can never go wrong with glitter in my books, so if you take a look through Wish Daisy on Etsy, I assure you that you will not be disappointed. Glitter animals of every kind!

And for itty bitty ones that are just starting to teethe, I recommend putting a few natural teething rings by Alexandra Rose into your babes stocking. Again, expertly made and beautiful!

No matter what handmade gifts you go with, find them on Etsy and keep the handmade movement going strong!

Mala's are some of my absolute most favorite things on the planet, and this one from Tellurus is stunning. Created out of rosewood, aqua and coral, it features a beautiful pink tassel and sterling silver accents.

While I have never been a watch wearer, I really love this minimalist white women's wristwatch from Liuwa. It's flexible white silicone, and has great gold accents.

If your lovely lady is a mom, you know that her children are her entire world and that she likely loves them to the moon and back. This rose gold heart and moon bracelet from Else Designs is a sweet sentiment to give.

You can never go wrong with a clutch or handbag...never ever ever ever. I am in love with this one fro gmaloudesigns!

And finally, a new iPhone case. These have come a long way from the standard covers and can be personalized so many times over. I love ones that have feminine touches and textural elements, like this floral geometric iPhone case from Idea Case.

Whatever you give, make sure it is from the heart! And...there's absolutely nothing wrong with tucking yourself something under the Christmas Tree! I always do, and it's usually something sparkly!

Dell Cove Spices is a shop on Etsy that I found a few years ago, and I order something from them every year for my husbands stocking. Last year, I ordered popcorn seasonings and we loved them!

Coffee mugs are always an easy gift idea, but finding ones that are whimsical or hip can be a challenge. I love this one from Lenny Mud.

Every few years, my husbands wallet looks a little worn. I have so many of them in my favorites on Etsy, but this one from Sewlutions by Amo stands out. It is intricately and expertly crafted, and beautiful in its design.

Funky tshirts are something that always get rolled up and put in my husbands stocking. Banyan Tree Clothing has great options, including this vintage ship tee.

And, while my husband has yet to come over to the dark side of technology and embrace the wonderful iPhone, I love unique docking stations. This concrete iPhone docking station by fmcdesign is minimalist and pure.

In the past, I've found lovely pocket squares and handmade ties, as well as edibles for my husband for Christmas. Etsy is such a wonderful place to shop, where you know the items are handmade with care, and an extreme amount of attention to detail paid.

7. LOVE Handmade Leather Guest Book or Journal by WeeBindery

What will I be giving my Valentine's this year? Very likely heart shaped sugar cookies, that Owen and I will decorate together {he's becoming a great helper in the kitchen}, a decent meal together, and then some snuggling on the couch.

Happy Valentine's Day!

January Etsy Find - Bird Feeders

Form meets function with this eye catching steel bird feeder, found on Etsy and created by Joe Papendick.

Christmas Ornament Roundup from Etsy

Our house is full of Christmas cheer, and one of my favourite days is the one that we put up our Christmas tree and decorate it. Each year, we get a new ornament just like I used to when I was a little girl, so it felt fitting to do a roundup of my favourite ornaments that I've found on Etsy.

Four robin's nests from Fairyfolk

Personalized ornament from The Lonely Heart

Mini wooden snowflakes from Timber Green Woods

Jumbo acorn ornament from Smile Mercantile
Handblown glass ornaments from Kivaford

Where is your favourite place to get new ornaments? I love finding unique ones, and mixing them in with family favourites.

Friday Etsy Find...Air Planters

Happy Friday, everyone!!

If you're like me, you have a hard time with finding the time to tend to house plants. I have proudly kept alive the orchid that my BFF Tiffany gave me the day that my son was born in 2010, and it sports many shoots and leaves....yet no flowers. I've revived it many a time, but I nearly always forget to give it water until it is shriveled and on death's door.

Enter the air plant! These little guys are taking home decor by storm, and there are so many amazing planters for them on Etsy!

Here is my favourite one that I have stumbled across in my travels so far

The Emerald Green Air Plant holder by Bird and Feather is absolutely beautiful. It has a bold pop of colour (hello Pantone colour of the year, Emerald!) and yet is so classic and simple in its overall design.

What air plant containers do you love?? Check them out on Etsy and comment with a link to your picks!

Spring Hair Accessories under $5

Handmade and colorful elastic hair ties seem to be all the rage right now, so when I saw these sets of 6 for $4.50 on Etsy, I knew it would make for a great addition to the $5 Etsy Fashion Find series!

The Giving Girl has 48 colors to choose from...crazy, right? But at $4.50 for a set of six, you could easily pick up a dozen or so different ones to coordinate with every spring outfit, without breaking the bank.

She even has some funky tie dye ones, in sets of 5 for just $4.10!

Happy hair tying!

5 Dollar Find Friday, For Him

Who says a fab $5 Etsy find is only for us girls? What about the guys??

I absolutely love getting my husband cufflinks. He doesn't wear them as much as he used to now that he's in a more relaxed work setting, but I still like to get him some fun cufflinks every now and then. These, by We Love Button Jewelry in the UK, are just $4.80 USD!

And what's even more awesome about them, you can choose your letters! A custom gift for under $5 {and just in time for Valentine's Day...hint hint}!
