A Quick Guide to Infant Constipation

Infant constipation can be an incredibly frustrating thing as a new parent. It often causes a great deal of worry, but there are a few basic things that you can do to help your little one should they be struggling with bowel movements.

How do you know if your baby is constipated?

It is perfectly normal for babies to go a few days between bowel movements, but when they are straining, pushing too hard or arching their back in pain from gas, that's when it's time to try a few things to help soothe them.

You know your baby best, so trust your instincts. If you feel like they are straining to poop, they probably are. A warm bath, some skin to skin, a gentle massage and some bicycle legs may be all that they need.
